Laser-Etched Palm Rest

This is a simple thing I made to try out merging my wood-working hobby with my various makerspace-related hobbies. We had just acquired a laser cutter for the makerspace, so I made a wedge out of some lovely American Walnut I had lying around, which has a really nice warm finish and a really prominent grain.

I then took that to the laser and engraved a thoughtful and poetic message to inspire me in my future endeavours.
